Ruben R.
One of our first members was Ruben R. He was a sophomore at digital harbor high school when he first came in. Ruben graduated high school and pursued his passion of entrepreneurship. He decided to start marketing to local restaurants to update their menus. He saw some success, but he was just getting started. His next step was to open his own taco shop. He needed $5,000 to help with rent and start up costs. The COSP was able to give him an interest free loan. We also helped with with business consulting and connections in the neighborhood. In a matter of months Rubens Mexican Food was open. He has expanded to multiple locations, selling hot sauce and a catering business.
